One thing I’ve found very surprising about the terahertz stone is that it doesn’t really seem to scratch. Stainless steel and glass tend to develop hairline scratches very easily just from normal use so I kind of expected this to do the same, since it’s basically very hard glass from what I gathered in my research about it. Almost every night I rinse it off and wipe it down and inspect it, and there are still not even little hairline scratches on it after about three weeks of use. Despite being so absolutely mirror smooth, it’s not difficult to hold, and it doesn’t slip out of my hand or ever feel like it’s going to.
I tried the trick where you melt ice with it and it actually works, lol! One end will sink right into the ice while the end that you’re holding gets progressively colder and colder. It starts to happen almost right away. It’s really neat stuff!
This came in a small black box, and it has its own little black pouch for storage. The stone is cool to the touch, and it stayed cool in my hand while I was using it, it also felt cool against my face and did not warm up quickly.
I don’t know a lot about the gua sha, but I wanted to give it a try because my face can get puffy. I will say honestly that there’s a lot of information out there about using a gua sha, and it can be quite confusing. I don’t know that I believe all the hype, and it definitely seems important to use this with a slippery foundation or lotion.
I found using this was actually pleasant and even a bit relaxing. I have several autoimmune issues, and tend to run fevers. The stone was cooling. Did it make my face look less puffy? Maybe a little bit. I’m curious enough to keep trying this.
I knew nothing about Terahertz, so I looked it up. It’s a relatively new man made stone. It was discovered in Japan about a decade ago and is made when silica is extracted from sand or quartz. It is relatively rare. There are lots of claims about healing powers, I don’t know anything about that. The only thing I know is that real terahertz is good at conducting both cold and heat. This stone is very good at staying cool. Should it be picking up body heat? I’m not sure.
This is a little outside my usual comfort zone, but it seemed like a non-invasive way to deal with puffy face. I’m interested enough to keep trying. I would advise that you do your own research and take it slowly and cautiously.
I've been using tools like these since I was in high school, and a couple decades later I know my face, ears, nose, and throat so well I can get rid of a serious stuffy nose (we are talking feels like cement is up in there) with just a few minutes of hitting the right (and safe) spots in my ears. Tools like this particular one have the potential to be absolutely life-changing if you do your own research (RELIABLE & credible sources, dead serious) and establish and maintain a solid routine. Your body will absolutely reap the benefits.
Highly recommended, duh!
